Phimation Founder & CEO Dave Haviland discussed Stage 2 small businesses with News/Talk 760 WJR broadcaster Paul W. Smith during an interview on January 21.
Dave explained Stage 2, both in terms of how it has typically been defined ($5 to $50 million in gross revenue and 10 to 100 employees) and how Phimation views Stage 2 (Stage 2 is not only measured by finances and head-count, but it’s also a state of mind).
Paul W. highlighted the timeliness and relevance of a workshop that Dave and Phimation COO Randy Albert led on January 27 in conjunction with the Walsh Institute, entitled Life is Different for Stage 2 Small Business Leaders: Overcoming Your Company’s Growing Pains.
During the workshop, Dave and Randy put the common issues of Stage 2 in a new light to make them easier to solve. They also took a deeper dive into the challenges of Stage 2 sales, outlining some of the frameworks, best practices and tools needed to improve results.
